My cousin was born at Temple Hospital in Los Angeles, California which, at the time, was owned by Dr. Erwin Hassen. The adoption seems to have been arranged as the baby was taken home by the adoptive parents: Mr. and Mrs. Roberts. The name on the original birth certificate was Candis Medved but the adoptive parents changed it to Loren Roberts. She was never told she was adopted but everyone in the family knew.
