My half sister was born in San Francisco to my mother Beverly Joan Crockett who went on to be Beverly Joan Garrison after marrying my father. My mother was living at St Elizabeth’s home for unwed mother’s on Masonic and Geary in San Francisco. My sister was born in 1957 to 1959. I think the doctor who delivered my sister was Dr. Schwartz but am not sure. He is the same doctor who delivered me. I am desperate to find her. I have cancer and she is all I have left of our mother who passed on March 21, 2008. I am desperate to know if she is alive, if she’s ok and I want to hug her. I’m on limited time due to my illness. I think her fathers name was Robert Davenport and I think my mother named her Rebecca Ann at birth. Our mother didn’t tell me about my sister until I was 16 and pregnant and unwed and I lived at St. Elizabeth’s for a short time also but decided to keep my baby and left the home in 1983. She could be living in The San Francisco Bay Area still. I have no money to hire a PI and one of my sons who is a police officer won’t help me and I live in England now and I am ill with cancer although she has 4 nephews and 3 great nephews who still live in San Francisco, Oakland, Cotati and Bodega Bay. I have photos of our mother holding her and a letter from the adoption agency telling our mother she was doing well with her adopted family. Our mother loved her so much but she couldn’t keep her as it wasn’t accepted back in those days. She gave her up out of love but I need her and have never had a day go by that I haven’t thought about her since finding out about her. I want my sister in my life if she is still alive. Any help appreciated.
