My adoption was a government adoption‚ direct hospital placement to adopting family at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View‚ California. I was told my birth mother was from back east and was sent to California to live with her Aunt until I was born. My birth mother was 17. It is not confirmed whether or not my birth father knew my birth mother was pregnant as he was in the military. I was also told that my maternal grandmother was diabetic.
