My mother‚ Margaret Ann Doyle‚ gave birth to me November 17‚ 1947 at St. Ann’s Home for Foundlings at Queen of Angels Hospital‚ Los Angeles. My birth father is Walter Mervyn Rapley‚ Jr. They were not married. My adoptive parents are Henry John McGinnis and Hazel McGinnis (maiden name Lawrence)‚ who lived in Riverside‚ California. My adoption was arranged by a lawyer in Yucaipa‚ California‚ through a Catholic adoption agency‚ but I don’t know in which county it was finalized. About 1985‚ my birth mother began searching for me‚ but she died just two weeks before I found her in 1993. I was able to connect with my birth mother’s family at that time‚ however. I also connected with my birth father in 1993‚ and had a relationship with him until his death in 2004.
