My brother had a child years ago that he didn’t know about. Our estranged father who I became in contact with before he passed away (john Jay Ponce of Tillamook, Or), told me that years prior he recieved a phone call from Los Angeles County telling him my brothers child was going to be placed for adoption because the mother was in jail or couldn’t take care of her and that they were searching for family members that could take the child. My father was in Ill health and hadn’t been in contact with my brother for at least 15 years. When I heard this I asked for more info. But that’s all he remembered, but he was adamant that it was a serious legit phone call, not some kind of joke or scam. So I brushed it off as probably wrong info. But then about a year or so ago my brother got some mail at my moms address from Los Angeles I think, about child support for a female child (can not remember the name). She said it was probably mistaken identity and laughed about the fact that my brother had told them it wasn’t the right person before but that this was like 2nd or third time they kept sending it to him. I could tell she was actually questioning if it could be real, but she is devastated about. My brothers state and didn’t want to deal with something new like that. But she also doesn’t know about what my father told me. My brother is homeless and on drugs and currently in jail. I’ve seen his mental state and his separation from reality slowly increase over the last 10 years or so, to the point where I no longer call him brother. Who is now is a stranger. I can’t even talk to him anymore, he can’t have a conversation with me without becoming paranoid defensive and abusive, sadly. And he has driven his health to the ground, we are preparing ourselves for That phone call any time now. I have no idea if my brother knows the truth or not. And I don’t want to reunite them particularly, she’s probably better off without him. But this has been on my mind now for nearly 2 years and I just Need to find out if my brother does have a 3rd child (he has 2 kids with his ex-wife, Nicholas Gordon Ponce II age 19 and Skyla Rae Ponce age 20). My name is Crystal Marie Ponce and my brothers name is Nicholas Gordon Ponce DOB 06/10/78. He resides in Riverside County although I’m fairly sure both pieces of info. That I have are from Los Angeles County. I know this is a very long shot but I had to try.
