My husband was adopted in December, 1959 via a private adoption. The attorney was located in Hayward or Castro Valley California. (He as since passed away) My husband was born at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California (Alameda County). Birth index shows that his birth mother’s maiden name may have been Cornish and the father’s last name may have been Hale. There were a set of twins also born with the last name of Riggs and the mother’s maiden name on that record is Karpova. We are pretty certain that he his not a twin but I guess it is possible. My husband’s adoptive parents have passed and we are looking to find information regarding birth parents and any possible 1/2 siblings that may have possibly born after him.
