I was born in the small Central Valley town of Tulare, CA in the municipal hospital. Mine was a closed adoption (typical of the time). I was adopted as an infant, within weeks of my birth. I was raised, educated, and have enjoyed a successful career, all in my native California where I still reside to this day. I had the great good fortune to be adopted by authentically loving parents who provided me every opportunity for both a happy childhood and rich, fulfilling adult life. The motives for my search for a genealogical connection are twofold: 1) an undeniable curiosity to know more about where and who I come from and 2) a profound gratitude to my birth parents for making the choice for adoption. Though words cannot express my thanks, respect, and appreciation, I’d nonetheless like to try and do so should the identity of my birthparents ever become known. Here’s hoping... -Brian
