I was born in John Muir Hospital on October 10‚ 1969‚ in Walnut Creek‚ a city in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. It was a closed adoption in Contra Costa County. I was told that my dad was from Texas‚ and that my parents were married but separated‚ and that I had a biological sister with an autoimmune disease‚ a few years older than me. What stands out in my case is that I was born with a rare lung condition that landed me in Children’s Oakland Hospital. I was told that my mother was informed of my illness. I lived with a foster family for about a year while I recovered from my illness. I’m looking for any member of my family who might recognize me - mother‚ father‚ sister‚ cousins - etc.
