My last name at birth was Owens, prior to being adopted. I was given up at birth. Not sure if Owens was birth mothers maiden or divorced name. All my information went through Santa Clara County Social Services, I believe I was born at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. At birth there was concern of neurological issues but resolved at 4 months of age. At the age of 4 (1978) my birth mother inquired on my adoption process, if I was still in foster care after she was more stable.
