I am searching for my half sister who was placed for adoption in 1962 or 1963 in either Colorado Springs or Texas maybe California. My mother was around 19 and married when she had a child from a man other than her husband. She was sent to a unwed mothers home gave birth and had to give the baby a girl up for adoption.she used the Catholic Charities Services . she may have used a different name as i understand it that was a common thing to do back then. she may have used gerry or geroldean jewel or julia as a first name or Griffith Freeman or Mojado as a last name or something else entirely . i do know She was able to see the baby only for a minute but was not able to hold her.Before my mother passed away on 8/13/2021 at age 77 she was able to tell me a little about the what she remembered about the baby and baby father. She said he was a white older man tall thin built with either blue or green eyes light colored hair. he might have driven race cars or possibly been a salesman? she also mentioned the names Henderson and Unser. Not sure what they mean to this puzzle ? In my moms younger years she was 5’2 dark black hair hazel eyes very thin built about 105 pounds olive skin color wavy hair and loved to dance to elvis . at the time the baby was born she had 2 other children a boy and a girl . later she had another son and 2 daughters.She lived in Colorado Springs when baby was conceived and i believe she was sent away to texas or maybe California to have baby. My mom is Native American and European mostly. She did tell me that she often thought about the daughter she gave away and wanted to know that she had lived a good life and was happy and healthy growing up. So i started searching for you but when covid came it took our mom away to heaven before we could find you. If you are out there please know that from the moment we found out about you i haven’t stopped looking for you and i never will. You are very much wanted and loved even though we have never met. you have a big brother and a big sister and a younger brother and 2 younger sisters and lots of nieces and nephews great nieces and great nephews even some great great ones too and tons of cousins and extended family who would love to meet you and get to know you .so if you are out there please reach out we are here searching for you sister !! xoxox The photo below is our mom Julia
