In September 1961 I gave birth to a baby boy at St Elizabeths Hospital for unwed mothers in San Francisco California The baby was adopted in Alameda County that year. I am willing to be contacted by him if he chooses to contact me. My wish is that he had a happy childhood and that my decision to put him up for adoption was a positive decision because at 17 with no parental support I could offer him nothing but a life on welfare.
