I did not discover I was adopted until age 51 after both of my adopted parents had passed. I know virtually nothing except possibly that the adoption was arranged by a physician in Downey‚ California when my parents were living in Riverside‚ California (March AFB). I was adopted immediately after birth. I have my original unsealed birth certificate listing my birth mother as Barbara Jane Ivy who was born in Arizona in approximately 1927. She was a teacher and resided at the time of my birth at 8356 East Cherokee Drive in Downey‚ California.
