When searching my own birth certificate I found my mother’s maiden name on a second birth certificate for another girl born on the same day 1/14/1968 and also in Orange County, California. I’m listed on my original birth certificate as Baby Girl Schmatt and the other daughter was also Baby Girl with a last name of Harper. My mother’s maiden name was Schmatt (not very common) I was born at Orange County Medical Center (now UCI). I was put for adoption and was briefly in a foster home.
