I am trying to help my dad find answers and have closure on his adoption. We think his mother’s name was Monica Jankowski when he was born and Monica Masci when she passed. Once she gave birth‚ she went back home to Michigan - we think some of her family knew of the pregnancy/birth but we have been unsuccessful in confirming that information. After marrying later that year in 1941‚ Monica relocated to New Mexico. We think my dad was born in the Berkeley‚ CA area. He was adopted shortly after birth and grew up in the Los Angeles area. He was an only child whose adoptive mother passed when he was 10 to cancer. We think we know who his birth father was but can’t disclose at this time. We aren’t sure if he even knew about the birth or of their relationship at the time. We know this based on ancestry and 23 and me testing. My dad doesn’t want anything from anyone - closure and information would be great for him and the rest of us. My son has a medical condition that is typically hereditary and is nowhere to be found on my husband’s nor my mom’s family histories. Medical information would be so appreciated not just for my son but for my brothers and me as well. Thank you for your help!
