Looking for my cousin who was placed for adoption in 1945. Her mom was a WAC and was in the service at the time she became pregnant and was dischargedfrom the Women’s Army Corps in March 1945 when the pregnancy became known. The birth mother grew up in North Dakota. We believe that after her discharge for the Army, my aunt went to a maternity home in Texas, California, or possibly another state, and the baby was born and adopted there. Baby may have been adopted by a pastor. The birth mother’s name was Charolotte. We believe the baby was a girl but we do not know her name or date of birth.
