I have no information on my older sibling. The date I gave is unknow as is the month of birth. My mother was raped and was sent away to a "finishing school". I’m not sure it was in California but she was living in San Jose‚ CA with her parents at the time of the rape. Her name was Ruthadele Carmichael born in Quincey‚ Illinois . No hyphen in the first name. Her parent’s names were Rev. Richard Ralph Carmichael and Rev. Adele Frances (Boatwright) Carmichael. Her parents never gave her any documentation regarding the birth and sadly my mother passed away without ever speaking to me about it.
