I am looking for my aunt for my mom. I unfortunately have very little facts, but here goes. My aunt was born in the late spring, early summer possible June 1952 or 1953. Name at birth was Caitlyn or Katherine. She was born with red hair. Birth place was a naval base in Kern county. Birth mother was Beverly Burleigh. My aunt’s older sister name is Michelle (born in October 1949) she remembers going to the Los Angels area and Beverly being pregnant and flying back to Oakland California with Beverly not being pregnant. My aunt would have been the second child out of wedlock. The adoption was handled through a lady named Mrs. Combs who also did private adoption for unwed Mother’s, she too lived in Oakland, California. I don’t know how legal this was or if Mrs.Comb was just giving away babies , I can’t find any paperwork through my search. I do know that the father was in the navy. This has been along search. I hope with any luck someone knows more clues to finding my aunt and her family. so we can welcome her and her family with open arms. Please contact me anytime.
