I am searching on behalf of my mother‚ Tracey Jane (adoptive name Jane Hinton)‚ who was born on 9 February 1962 in Kingston‚ Surrey. Her original birth certificate records her as Tracey Jane Mitchelmore. Her birth mother was Pamela Mitchelmore‚ an unmarried shop assistant living at 18 Richmond Park Road‚ Kingston. No father was named on the birth certificate. My mother was born at 26 Wolverton Avenue‚ Kingston‚ and her birth was registered on 27 February 1962. An adoption order was later made on 24 August 1962 in Buckinghamshire. DNA testing has identified matches within the Mitchelmore family‚ and we would welcome contact from anyone who believes they may be connected or who has knowledge of Pamela Mitchelmore and her family history. My mother is very mindful that these events took place more than 60 years ago and appreciates that they may be sensitive for those involved. She is not seeking to cause upset or disruption to anyone's life. Having recently obtained her original birth records‚ she would simply like to better understand the circumstances surrounding her adoption and learn more about her family history.
