My great uncle Ralph Carey was in world war 2 and apparently fathered a child in England and then the child was put up for adoption. My Uncle passed away in 2013 not long after his wife. He and his wife never had any children and we did not know he had until we found some court papers in his keep. The child was a boy born perhaps in 1944-45. He was named Michael Alan Phillips and was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. L.H Grant of Bolton gardens
