I am looking for my grandmother's biological family. She was born in Germany‚ and brought to the US around 1 or 2 years of age. I wish I knew more about this before she passed away‚ but close to her death I had started asking questions and she told me what she could. Her family had kept in contact with her and if I remember correctly‚ she got to meet some of them later on in her life. However‚ when she passed away my parents recklessly didn't keep any of her belongings that held some information I am seeking. Her first name was her given name from birth- Hannelore. Her adopted last name was my great grandparents - Hart. She had many brothers and sisters‚ and her mom used to write her letters saying how sorry she was that she was put up for adoption. I know it's a long shot‚ but I would love to know more about her family and connect with them.
