Hello! My name is Anita and I was born in Bangalore in March 1978. I am not sure of my exact date of birth. I have been searching for my biological mother and father for about six years now. I have discovered various clues‚ especially that the story about my family background is certainly not true. According to the story recounted by Mother Virginia of St Martha's to my adoptive parents‚ I was born into a poor family. My biological mother died three weeks after my birth‚ and my biological father could not afford to support me and gave me to Mother Virginia at St Martha's Hospital in Bangalore for adoption. However‚ none of the relevant official documents were presented during the adoption process‚ including my birth certificate‚ my mother's death certificate and my father's consent form. This makes me think that my mother is probably alive and that I was an illegitimate child. Recently‚ I discovered distant cousins through DNA ancestry‚ whose social status contradicts this story. However‚ I have not been able to contact any close family members to find out more about my biological parents. I hope the community‚ especially adoptees from St Martha's‚ can join forces.
