James was born in Bristol in November 1964. His birth mother was called Diana Holemans - she was a school teacher in Bath. His birth father was called Sidney Archard - he was already married. He was born in Australia but grew up in the UK. He may have returned to Australia. He had a daughter - Barbara. James was adopted within a year of his birth - his adopted family are in Bristol. James’s name was changed when he was adopted. He did try and make contact with his birth mother, but as her husband was a well known judge in the south west, she declined contact. Diana and her husband had 3 daughters - Rebecca, Philippa and Stephanie. Diana died in 2004.
