I believe my mother gave birth to a child before meeting & marrying my father. Her name was Monica Lyons who passed away at the age of 40. She was a wonderful mother who loved children. She became a nurse at Auckland hospital & had 8 children with my father. Her father was a horribly strict man who "forced" her to give up the child as he felt it would bring shame upon the family. I learnt this after my mother had passed away‚ as I was 10 when she died. It would’ve crushed her having to give up a child.
