My birth name was Sylvia Williams. I was born at St.Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock‚ AR. I was born premature. My adoption went through the Arkansas State Welfare Department and occurred in July 1968. Based on limited information that I have‚ my father and mother were not married. My father was 29 and my mother was 32. My father had previously been married and had a son who died at the age of 5 from Down’s Syndrome. My dad had a broken back and was going to undergo surgery. My mother had either a sister or sister-in-law who was in the process of adopting a child.
