I am trying to help my fiancee who is illiterate due do learning disabilities find his birth family. He was born on Jan 6‚ 1968 in Arkansas. He thinks in Little Rock‚ but not 100% sure. He does know that his birth mother was incarcerated in Cummins prison when he was born. Her name is either Ann Shappy‚ Marie Shappy‚ or a combination of the two. We know she attempted to stop his adoption in 1970 (see supreme court case Shappy V. Knight)‚ but was unsuccessful and his adoption went through in 1974.
