Recently joined Ancestry DNA to find my maternal grandmother. My mother never knew her mom and suspects she was kidnapped as a child. I connected with someone on Ancestry DNA by the name of Doris-Reams Velay. Ancestry DNA estimates that we are second cousins. After checking sources with other family members, Doris and I are definitely related on my mother’s maternal side. One downside is, I believe Doris said that her father was adopted, and since they know her mother’s side quite well, it is possible that our genetic relation is from her dad’s side, whom they either don’t know very well or don’t know at all. I am on here to find out if Frank Reams, Doris’ Father, had a sister who could my my mother’s mom.
