My amended birth certificate number is SB 102-83-011804. My adoptive parents were Mark Hiram Gotfried and Janice Kanter Gotfried of 2581 North Water Circle‚ Tucson. I am 5 foot 5‚ a Marine Corps veteran of Iraq‚ married with three children‚ and I live in Phoenix. I have done extensive research. DNA testing (AncestryDNA‚ 23andMe‚ MyHeritage‚ GEDmatch) proves my mother is a granddaughter of Fred Ehrman (1905-1965) and Emma Lantz Ehrman (1917-1969) of Morris‚ Grundy County‚ Illinois. Their children include Eva (married Benjamin Hale of Kankakee)‚ Karen (Darling)‚ Frederick Earl‚ Paul‚ Roy‚ Bill‚ David‚ Clara (Rutledge‚ of Vermont)‚ and Rosemary. My closest matches on this side are Michael Ehrman‚ 491 cM‚ and Amy Darling‚ 429 cM. Possible mothers in that generation include Paula A. Hale Gilbert (Eva's daughter‚ of Illinois and Spring‚ Texas)‚ and Kathie Ehrman and Kris Ehrman (daughters of Frederick Earl Ehrman). On my father's side‚ my closest match is Devin Kavaney‚ 879 cM‚ a first cousin. The DNA points to Daniel and Betty Huffman Kavaney of Mesa‚ Arizona‚ as my grandparents they owned 2558 East Glenn Street in Tucson from 1982 to 1986‚ covering my conception and birth. I believe my father is their son‚ Kenneth G. Kavaney of San Diego‚ born August 1962‚ though I do not believe he knew about me.
