I was supposed to have visitation rights with the adopters but somehow I got screwed over on the whole process. The court failed to tell me that I could have a separate case from their dad an that there was 2 cases happening at the same time. Reunification and Severance/Adoption. The judge also told me if I fought the adoption he would take away any future kids I may have. The only thing I got a say in was that my son an daughter had to stay together. Thankfully that got approved. I love my children so very much an I have a huge emptiness in my soul that can never be filled until I can see them again. I haven’t seen them since April of 2003.
