Tucson Arizona Catholic Home for Unwed Women near University of Arizona on Speedway in August of 1972. The home was sponsored by the Catholic church and housed 6-8 unwed young women ranging in age from 13 to 18. We received healthcare‚ mental & physical counseling adoption counseling. The process was very detailed the adoption counselors wanted to know everything about the father‚ his family and their family lifestyle as well as their financial status for both the father and the mother. They would select certain families who would match those profiles the closest. We had the same exact obstetrician from the time we got there until the induction of the baby. The induction was scheduled around the adoptive parents when I and when I had to return home to attend my senior year in high school they did this so that the parents could be there at the exact time. The baby was born and transfer all legal documents at the same time. It was very efficient. It was a close adoption. I cannot remember the name of the home‚ but can contact the Catholic diocese in Phoenix as they will probably have records. I believe the birth was mid August because I returned to my home right after Labor Day when Prescott high schoolschool started after Labor Day.
