I was born in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix AZ. My birth mother was approx 23 at the time and was not married. She lived in Oklahoma and was in school at the time. She came to AZ to have the baby. Her Mother kept it a secret from friends and family. I have found that my birth mother passed away from cancer around 1990 and was employed as a Special Education Teacher in Texas. I am not sure if she ever told the man she was pregnant. I have spoken with her brother and he does not know the name since it was not discussed. She did marry and had a son later. I have also made contact with her husband and she did tell him she had a baby but no other details.
