I was adopted in Buenos Aires. A social worker named Paulina Garfunkel arranged the adoption. The midwife was Ernestina Ferrari. Paulina worked at a "Jewish food kitchen" for poor people, where I assume she periodically came in contact with young pregnant women who could not take care of their babies. She was also influential in the Jewish community and that allowed her to find mostly Jewish couples looking to adopt. My adoption took place 2 days after I was born. My biological mother hesitated for 2 days. She was 14 years old supposedly or at least very young.
