My mother passed away May 30 1977 in Edmonton‚ Alberta. Her body was found in the early morning hours on a pathway. Her name was Betty Marie Elen (shortened from Eleniak) Her maiden name was Sickles. She was born sometime around 1944. Her mother's name was Julia Sickles she also had the last names Doxtator and Jones. Betty was removed from her mother's care when she was 5 years old along with r of her siblings. None of Julias 1st 5 children ever seen there mother again once they were put in the mohawk residential school. My dad's name was Jerry Peter Elen (shortened from Eleniak) he was born in 1940 in Edmonton Alberta. He passed away in December of 1998. In Edmonton.
