You were born in the Grace Hospital in Calgary Alberta. The GP that delivered you was Dr. Ellam. It was a bit of a challenging ‘high forceps’ delivery. I developed a good relationship with the counsellor I was seeing such that he had his wife go with him when my baby was delivered to her adoptive family. That was not the norm I was told. It made me feel good that you were being given special treatment. Surrendering my baby left me feeling like a limb had been severed. A part of me was missing. I had to believe I had done the best thing for her. It definitely wasn’t the best thing for me.
