My name is Ian Reynolds and I was born John Robert Elliott on February 27 1980 in Calgary, Alberta to my 18 year old birth mother, Cherrie Elliott. I received my birth records from Alberta in 2013, and subsequently found my birth mother and family. I am now searching for my birth father. I’m told his name is Jim Lin (Unsure of spelling). Jim is of asian decent and knew of my birth. In 1979, Jim was working as a bartender in Calgary. In late February 1980, Jim was working for Sunlife Insurance in Calgary. I’ve done Ancestry and 23andme without any success. I’ve messaged all the Jim Lin’s on Facebook and called Jim Lin’s in Calgary phonebooks. They were all dead-ends. If everyone can share this post maybe it will reach Jim’s family or someone that knew/knows him. Thank you, Ian Reynolds
