My 3rd cousin and I connected through DNA believe if we are able to find out her fathers birth father name we can connect our relationship. All adoptive parties are now deceased. Alma Fickling was the birth mother of William Thomas Clark. She was never married to his father and gave him up for adoption sometime during 1923. The only name we have for Williams father is Clark. William’s adoptive parents changed his name to William Francis Gardner. He died at age 36 in 1957 in Minnisota.
