The caseworker's name was LeeAnne King. The hospital was Jackson. His parents sent me a picture and a 10 page handwritten letter. I want him to know he was never unwanted! I was a very young‚ immature 18 year old. My first inclination was to run away and live with two (male) friends of mine. I had it all planned out! Looking back‚ I still am so glad I didnt. When my mom said adoption‚ I realized it was the only way to give him a real chance. To give him anything. I didnt grow up for a long time. I had another son at age 30‚ and I still wasn't grown. But I was self supporting by then‚ and I raised him‚ and love him‚ but still regret that I was as immature and self serving as I was even at 30. Josh's grandmama‚ my mom Mary‚ is 80 and in a wheelchair. She has always been the strongest person I've known‚ a rock in my life‚ and although adoption was her idea‚ letting Josh go was very painful for her. She still considers him her first grandchild. It would be amazing to see the two of them reunite/meet. It would be amazing for Josh to meet his brother Micah. I dont know how Josh feels about me‚ and maybe none of this will ever happen‚ but I want him to know that I loved him from the moment I thought he may be existing and forming inside me‚ and every day until I die. I gave him my middle name‚ Lee.
