She had memories of her parents passing in the Virgin Islands when she was 5 years old, about 1903 and said her father was from Denmark. She recalled being sent to an adoption agency in New York after they passed and adopted out from that location. The only information about her adoptive family I have is that their surname was Miller and they had lost a daughter that was close in age to my grandmother.
