A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Slovakia Who Chose To Be Featured
1. Foster123Foster : Kosice number 4, my adopted mothers name is Adriana Krajnakova born as Branikova and my name is Toma’s Krajnak, that’s all I know
2. Alysja3 : My daughter was born on January 25, 1985 in Czechoslovakia in a city Olomouc. She was born healthy. I lost a lot of blood and could not get out of bed. I suckled my daughter for two days. My husband was on the Russian army at that time, he was away on a trip when I gave birth to my daughter. He could come only on the third day after giving birth. When my husband came, a doctor told us that my daughter felt bad and died in another hospital where she was being taken urgently. They did not let us see his body. In the hospital, the doctors told us that they cremate all the babies in a crematorium. My husband went to a funeral home and paid the bill that was presented to him. We still have that bill. In this funeral home we were told again that they did not show the children before they were cremated. We had come several times to see the place where the urn with its ash was supposed to be placed, but the employees of this company always found excuses for not showing this place. All these years we are living in a doubt. On one side we were told that she is dead but on the other side the circumstances in which it was done and the fact that we never saw our dead girl does not let us live quietly. If she is alive, she can be in any country. We can’t know his name or his first name. The only thing is his date of birth and the possible resemblance to me my husband or my second daughter.
3. IngridGabcova : Her name was Nikola izova , her date of birth is the 16th of march 1993 my brother put her for adoptoin and since then wont tell me where she is i want to really find her
6. Sing4kristen : My grandmother was born to a poor family and was “adopted” or given to a family when she was young. Maybe 3‚4‚5‚6 to a family that brought her to America. The family was Dobias. Jan and Rozalie. I don’t know the birth family. This was approx 1906. Her name when brought to America was Mary or Marie Dobias. She came from trojanovich Slovakia. She died giving birth to my mom. We know nothing about her since her father committed suicide when mom was 3 yrs old. Mom is 87 and I really want to find some info for her before she dies.
10. Viola79 : I know the original name of the mother : Katarina Majgotova. Hers father name is Vladimir Klasovsky. They was living in Trnava. Before adoptation she was in Skalica.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
