I was adopted at the age of four from Apia, Samoa. I was apart of the Focus On Children (FOC) scam. I recently got a copy of my ADOPT- 215 form, which provided the name of the agency who did my Home Study. I met with another group and one of the people in that group indicated that random pictures were provided to us. So I now question what I thought was my truth and connection to home and my family in Samoa. I am trying to get a copy of my Samoan birth and adoption records now.

I was born at Moto’otua Hospital in Apia Samoa. My biological mother is Tolula Kaio.Ross Kay was on a work deployment in Samoa from NZ as a telecom cable technician in 1976‚ this is how he came to meet my Samoan mother Ula. I was born in 1977. I was given to her friends mother at three days old.The old lady passed away when I was three years old then I was left in the care of her second oldest daughter who then brought me over to NZ in 1987 and left me in the care of her youngest sister (Ula’s friend). She then returned a year or so later for good with her new husband and with a official or non-official birth certificate with them showing as my biological parents. However‚I was able to obtain a baptism certificate of which has my biological mother listed as my mother and Ross Kay as my father.
My biological mother has since passed away in 2000.
I am 46 years old now‚happily married and have set up a comfortable life for myself and my husband and children.I want to locate my biological father so I am able to have the ancestry and lineage information I need to be able to know for certain who I Sam on my father’s side and also for the sake of my children knowing this part of their bloodline. I do not wish to forge a relationship with Ross if he does not wish to.K just want confirmation so that I can put a close to this matter.
Thank you.
