Sadly‚ Fortunate Mate was believed stolen fom the Makokoba Church of Christ in Bulawayo during a church service on 17 June 2006 when she was 4 years old. She was attending an adjoining Sunday School when she wanted to use the bathroom. Not liking the Sunday School bathrooms‚ she walked across the road to her mother during the church service asking if she could use the adult bathroom. Her mother consented and that was the last that was seen of her. We believe that if she is still alive‚ she was illegally taken to Mozambique in the days after she was stolen and adopted.
