A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Mauritius Who Chose To Be Featured
1. PaulaSeymour : Searching for the birth certificate of my Great Great Grandfather Edward Newcombe Atkins who I believe was born in Mauritius
4. MJasmin1942 : Anne Maryse Jasmin gave birth to a baby boy in early 1960s, and was forced to give him up for adoption shortly after he was born. She would watch him play through the orphanage fence for the first three years of his life till he was adopted out.
I cannot and do have any other information (due to extreme resistance from family) other than she asked for him on her deathbed. Till then, my younger brother and sister had no knowledge that we had an older brother.
I need to find my brother to let him know the circumstances for which he was given up. His mother wanted him, and she loved him more than he knows.
5. Mimibhurtah : I will be honest. For years I have been raised by a pair of narcissistic and manipulative parents in Mauritius. I was so much abused that many people asked me if they were my real parents. Then I started having doubts about my origins with them since I always believed that a true parent would never harm his or her own child. A friend once was convinced that the woman who raised me was not my birth mother... but six months later in a moment while he was drunk, he said that the father who fed me was not my birth father! I am hungry for the truth since I want to know if those people who raised me are my birth parents or are my unfortunately adoptive parents, from whom I was forced to distance myself to protect myself as well as my child and my marriage life.
6. Mimibhurtah : The reason why I want to look for that sibling is that, except if a DNA test proves the opposite, this person was introduced to me as my half sister, since she was the daughter from my so-called mother’s first marriage and since my so-called mother abandoned this half sister of mine when she was 6 years old to remarry the one who is (or pretends to be) my father. Moreover what is really strange is how I could have such a strong and long relationship with such a woman who is like night and day with me?
7. JayJaydiddat : I’m trying to find my little brother my momma couldn’t take care of him due to her life style and she passed away in 2007 and I just wanna really see my brother and let him know who Iam he has sisters to I want to catch up we missed out growing up
8. JoyHK : Born on the 10th of March 1979 at Victoria Hospital Plain Quatre Bornes Mauritius. My birth certificate says "abandoned by birth" According to H. Johnson‚ the Director of Child Orphanage organisation OREC‚ my birth mother came from Rose Hill. I have no other clue’s about my birth family. Bot Harold Johnson as the one from the orphanage has died. The goverment of Mauritius doesn’t have any information in my record other then my name given by the director Johnson. He named me Henrika Ramsen

10. Love83 : Searching for any one that can help me put the information of my birth at Addington Hospital Durban together as I believe I am a twin girl that may have a brother or sister looking for me but I am unsure of the exact placce or country I was born during aparthied which has little or no information to help me around the time of my birth‚ the Addington hospital and records all were destroyed or unavailable due to a fire.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
