1. Jackievas : Brother/ son born 30 April 1971 in Bitola, Macedonia in Bitola Hospital.
Birth parents trying to find you. We are all living in Melbourne Australia.
You were taken from us at birth and possibly sold to another family shortly after in and around early May 1971. We dont know where in the world you may be. If you believe you are adopted and dont have any resemblance to your family then this may be you.
2. Jasminenz : Adopted From Bitola‚ Macedonia at birth to a very young mum perhaps 16. the name Vera comes up on the adoption paperwork. My name may have been Neda
3. ElizabethZ77 : Born in Gnjilane Kosovo in March 1993
Found in basement of Aparment building on a street called Ulica Bojaninoj BB
Was at the hospital called Zdravstveni Centar Gnjilane
My pediatrician there was Dr David Stojanovic
I stayed there until May 12, 1993 and then they moved me to the orphanage in Belgrade Serbia where i was adopted from in December 1993
4. Gulevski1971 : I am searching for a brother who was born in Bitola in the Former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia on the 1st of May 1971. Soon after the birth my parents were informed that their baby boy had died. When they asked to see their baby they were told there was no need and were advised to go home. My family originates from the village of Kukurecani in the Bitola area. Soon after the birth of their first born son they migrated to Melbourne, Australia. For most of my parents lives this situation has never felt right until 10 years ago they came across some information that he may be alive and living abroad either in America or Canada. In our research we have come across information that back when it was Yugoslavia there was an illegal selling of babies going on where childless families were paying thousands of dollars for a baby. The mothers of these babies were told the most unfortunate news that their babies had died. This is not the case!!! Our brother was kidnapped!!! The birth certificates of these children have been altered to show that their birth parents are the ones who bought them and their birth dates have been changed. We feel he is still alive as in researching have come across many others with similar stories. We have explored various avenues to find some information with no results. If you feel that for most of your life your parents are not really your biological parents then this could be a possibility if you are of Macedonian/Yugoslavian heritage. Enquiries welcome.
5. Gordana-Skopje : I was adopted out of Skopje, Macedonia(Former Yugoslavia)in September 1979 (and took to the UK). I am now looking for my birth mother. I was around three years old when I was adopted. My name was originally Gordana Markovic (born in September 1976). I have been told that my mother didn’t know if she could keep me - and that she had taken me in and out of the orphanage before she had (reluctantly) given me up for adoption. I have been told that my birth father had ’vanished’ for over a year at the time of the adoption. My guardian at the time was called Radmile Nikolova. I also have a brother, who was adopted at the same time as me, also from Skopje. However I have been told that he was left at the hospital, and then took to a small foster home (a flat) which may have been in 1977 when he was born. I am not sure if my brother and I have the same mother, but I have been told that we have the same father.
9. AnitaAley69 : I am looking for my brother possibly born in 1965 or 1966. He was either adopted or has passed away at the time of birth.
He was born in Prilep in the village by the name of Vrbjani in Macedonia.
I am not entirely sure what has happened as there is no documents in support of his birth or otherwise.
Thanks
10. AnitaAley69 : I am trying to locate my sibling a brother who was born in either 1965 or 1966. My understanding is that he may have been given up for adoption at birth or has passed away at this time of his birth.
He was born in either 1965 or 1966 in Prilep in our village called Vrbjani in Macedonia. He was born into the Poposki family. I don’t have his first name.
There doesn’t appear to be any documents on his birth or otherwise.
thanks
12. ZivkaMarkovska : I gave birth to a healthy boy in august 1973 in a hospital Trifun Panovski Bitola Macedonia ( former Yugoslavia). Afterwards me and another lady were told that our babies had died and that they were sent to the chapel. There was no further explanation‚ and we didnt get a death certificate and they wouldt let us see his body or tell us which chapel he was sent to. Afterwards it was discovered that more than 3000 women in Yugoslavia had experienced the exact same thing‚ and that the babies didnt die‚ but they were sold to adoption agencies around the world. Mostly Germany.. So i am looking for my child‚ because i am sure he is still alive somewhere.
15. VaneMoj : I was adopted born and adopted around 1948 in North Macedonia from the villages surrounding Orovnik‚ Mislesevo‚ Gorenci‚ Volino and Trebenista. I believe I belong to the lineage of Mitreski‚ Mojsoski‚ Nikoloski and Jakimoski.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
