I wish I had found this website, Adopted.com fifty years ago.
Back then, things were only starting to warm up to the concept of opening up records. Things often work out for a reason. If I had found any other path to my answers, I would have missed the path I actually travelled which makes this incredible journey and story called "Bunny."
Anyone remotely connected to the subject of adoption will not be able to put this book down. After finishing my first draft, I asked my husband of 45 years to read it for me and give me feedback. He asked why he needed to read it since he lived through the whole story!
Nice man that he is, he read it for me anyway. At the end, his only comment was "I lived through almost all of your searching but I never understood all the emotion that went along with it until now." And that was what I wanted to come across, the emotion we all feel no matter where we live in the adoption process.
"Bunny - Based on a True Story" is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble online, bookshop.org and other retailers. Signed and inscribed hardcover copies from the author are available on Ebay.com.
However you read "Bunny", I have one piece of advice: do not peek ahead at pictures or words or it will ruin the story. Like life in general, it is a mystery.
