The family of the child who was adopted out lived in Christchurch, New Zealand but may have moved to the North Island due to the daughter becoming pregnant either before or after the adopted child was born? (The father of the girl who was pregnant was the Chief Postmaster in Christchurch at the time)

My birth father’s name was Leslie George COX from Invercargill. I never met either of them. They had no relationship to each other apart from my conception. Leslie was a Merchant Seaman in WW II and traveled to many ports around the world.
