61. ElainaRBenteau : I don’t know what to say particularly. I just know that my mother Nancy Gail MacLellan gave away a daughter in Nova Scotia(likely the Halifax region). I am not 100% sure of 1988 being the year of birth, it may have been ’87. I only am ware of her existence because of a letter I found dated for early 1988. It was delivered through a middle man(whoever helped with the adoption) it was the adopted parents expressing their thanks toward my mother giving them her child. I also know that my mom wanted to name her Frances, and the adopted family believed this meant something as they too wanted to name their daughter Frances. My Name is Elaina Benteau. I was born April 29 1990, and I have an identical twin sister. We’d love to find our sister.

63. Susieque129 : Looking for my father’s birth father. My father was born September 18, 1934 and his birth mother’s name was Nellie Dorothy Wentzell (b. 1903 - d. 1989). No father noted on adoption papers. Birth took place in Halifax, NS and birth name was Bruce Lloyd Wentzell. Birth mother was from Lunenburg County, NS and 31 years old at the time of his birth. Nellie’s parents were Wilbert and Ella Wentzell and she had a sister, Grace, who was a school teacher and principal in Halifax school system until 1966. Neither of these married, though I heard that Nellie had another child after my father though no adoption record exists. Though my father was with his adoptive parents since 1934, adoption not completed until 1952.
