My mother (now 52) was adopted through an agency in London (which has now closed down) by a lady named Pricilla Jackson - who passed away some years ago. 18 months after adopting my mother Pricilla was offered the adoption of my mother’s newborn sister - but she was unable to. My mother’s birth name was Gloria Simpson and I’m aware my mother’s sister’s birth name was Pauline Simpson. I also believe she would have been born in a hospital in Southampton. 21. Shanni79 : My grandmother was visited by her birth son and she sent him away because she was afraid that her husband would find out she gave her first child up for adoption. She was about 15 or 16 when she had her son, sometime around 1967. I believe his name is Steven. I would like to contact him. My grandmother passed away in 2006 in California and her name is Alice Josephine Montague. Her birthday is 4/5/1941 and she was born in Belfast Ireland. She went to England to give her baby up for adoption and I am unaware of which particular county where she did this.

23. Looking4uncle : I am searching on behalf of my mum, Carol née Field, who found out a couple of years ago that she has an older brother who was adopted at birth. Birth name Robert Edward Field. Birth mother Ethel Field. Born 15/5/43 at Hereford General Hospital. Ethel was married and her husband was away during the war. She became pregnant with Robert by another man. We do not know who this was. My mother, Carol, has also been told recently that her father, Ethel’s husband, who died when she was 2, was not her biological father. I am seeking my birth Mother named Margaret Anne Gregory who a few weeks after my birth returned to her family home, which at that time was The Dog and Partridge, Adderbury West, Nr. Banbury. Miss M. Smith, children’s secretary of The Mission of Hope, "Birdhurst Lodge" South Park Road, Croydon dealt with my case at my birth. 9/6/98 I received from Maria Affinities family replacement worker of 1st floor, 33 Tachbrook St. Pimlico, London SW1V 2JR: some of my adoption papers minus my Father’s name. My registration number on my original birth certificate is 166. The application number on my birth certificate is B010318/D. My birth certificate is registered in Croydon.

Terrytuberville : im searching for my birth father harry James bolton who was married to sylvia dalton, I also have a sister Maria who was born in 1969, not sure if my birth father knew about my sister, my mom was remarried to a US soilder who adopted us and we moved to the United States. My paternal grandparents still live in Branbury. We think my birth father had a brother named Anthony who they called "Sonny Boy". It also states on my birth certificate that my fathers father was also named Harry James Bolton and that he had something to do with turf but I think it had to do with a gambling establishment, not sure.
