19. Chelle78 : Hello I am trying to find an older sister who I think may have been adopted in the late 60’s or early 70’s. My grandmother was sent a letter from the grandmother of the adopted child explaining that a baby girl had been born and would be adopted out. The family of the child who was adopted out lived in Christchurch, New Zealand but may have moved to the North Island due to the daughter becoming pregnant either before or after the adopted child was born? (The father of the girl who was pregnant was the Chief Postmaster in Christchurch at the time)

24. Pencay : I am helping my husband find his family members. He was born in Hastings NZ on the 10th of Feb 1973 by a couple residing in Dannevirke NZ when he was three weeks old. All we know was that his birth mother was single and very young (apparently). Both my husbands adoptive parents have since passed away. He unfortunately lost his mum when he was only 17 and was estranged from his father pretty much from therein.

27. Kevin630 : Hi‚ this to find and retrieve official verification of my Father’s birth mother. Her name was Effie Marion Riddell (born 13th May‚ 1906 died 2005) and my father’s name was Reginald Roy Oldfield‚ died July 6th‚ 2009). After becoming pregnant and giving birth to him in 1929‚ she gave him up to her Sister in law’s brother & wife‚ as they could not have children. Their names were William Leslie Oldfield (1906-1986) and Violet Ellen Powell (1908-1983). My Father’s birth mother‚ Effie‚ later married Ivan Thomsen and together they lived in Wellington Ivan died quite young I believe (1960s) - she did not marry anyone else. Effie/Marion and Ivan had two daughters‚ Cynthia and Lois and they also married and had 5 and 2 children respectively. None of those people know anything of my Father (and therefore me) or of the connection we all share. I would be very grateful if you could provide me with the important official information/document that verifies my father’s birth mother so that I can have peace of mind and some measure of closure with this. Thanks Kevin Oldfield (Reg’s son)

28. DanielleAngland : Am looking for the son of my late Aunt‚ Kaye Angland. His birth name was Danny‚ but his adoptive parents may have changed that. I am aware he made tentative enquiries through an adoption agency some years ago and my Aunt was so excited to find him and wrote to him. Sadly she never recieved any letters back and I would not be at all surprised if her partner might have intercepted her letters or the letters that Danny may have written in return. She was heartbroken not to hear from him. I would love to find Danny to tell him about his mother and his NZ family... he is currently lost to us and we would love to welcome him back... From what my mother (his maternal aunt) has told me‚ I believe he was adopted by a Scandinavian family‚ so I suspect he lives somewhere in Europe or Scandinavia.
