According to her birth certificate‚ she was born to Helga Reushcher. Thanks to her genealogy‚ she was able to find her father through her paternal half brother right here in the U.S. with her!! He is African American‚ George Dees‚ US Army. We found her mother Helga‚ but unfortunately she had already passed. We had heard that my mothers mother Helga was adopted as well. The genealogy test she took did not link her to anyone on her mom’s side of the family. Helga was born on or around July 26th‚ 1928 and passed away in New York around 2019. I found the copy of a ships manifest and she migrated to Montreal in 1967 through the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration (ICEM). I am trying to figure out if she was actually adopted and if so‚ her surname and parents. She is in the profile photo.

On April 28th‚ 1948 they divorced. My mother‚ Maria Kreszentia married Iwan Owetschko in 1948 after the divorce finalized from Simon Mosandl.
