91. MayaK82 : I was told I was adopted from a Church in Santiago, in December 1982. My adopted mother, was traveling by herself to Chile, and I as a child I saw photos of her with Nuns, in front of a large cathedral gate. In one of the photos my adopted mother is holding me and I look to be a newborn baby, only a few weeks old. I was adopted to New South Wales, but my Australian birth certificate was not issued until many years later (approx 15-16 years) in Queensland. I believe I was adopted very young, as my adopted mother’s name and my adopted father’s name were printed on my original paperwork, however since my adopted mother died, I lost access to all my information and paperwork. I recently found an article about the stolen children from Chile, and am searching for any potential family, immediate or extended.

95. Andorinha39 : My Mother was adopted and has no idea of any biological family. She was born 11/28/1933 in Puren‚ Chile. She said she remembers her mother passing away and her father couldn’t take care of her but she said she remembers having older brothers. Her adoptive parents Pedro Pastor and Orfelina Fernández Pastor raised her as her only child. I had my mom do a DNA test and the closest family was another girl who was also adopted and lives in France and a second cousin to me that her daughter mentioned we can be related Thru her Mendoza side of the family. It would mean so much to me to find close family relatives. It has always been a dream of mine.
